Getting Married in Antigua

“I have been surrounded by flowers my entire life. As a child, my mother owned a Floristry, called Florexotica and she taught me about flowers and the art of floral arrangements.” These are the words of Florexotica’s owner, Lilly Bavay.

Being introduced to life of a Florist since she was a child, Lilly’ developed her talent in the art of Floral Arranging and today caters to clients worldwide. She elaborates:

“When I came to Antigua, it was on a boat sailing. I wanted to be surrounded by flowers on a Tropical Island so even when I established my home, I made sure I was surrounded by nature. Though my heart is in Floral Arrangement, my field is Business Management and Marketing.

Though unrelated to Floristry ,I mastered the art of combining my passion, exposure to multiple cultures, expertise and life experiences into a practical business opportunity. The foundation of my business, Florexotica Antigua, was based on years of hands-experience and my love of nature and passion,”

Florexotica is an international business with global clients.

“Currently, my business caters to both local and international markets. As an international resident myself, spending half of my life in Europe and the other half in the Caribbean, I am honored to serve clients worldwide. Florexotica is a family business, my son Louis, is a part of the Florexotica Team and I absolutely enjoy working with him.” Lilly indicated.

Each member of Florexotica has their own specialty and combined they have a wealth of knowledge about flowers from around the globe. Because of their worldwide training, Florexotica’s staff has a multicultural approach to flowers, the language of flowers and the interpretation of styles and floral designs. Florexotica adapts to their client’s preferences and challenges and takes into account individual styles, cultures and wishes. According to Lilly :“It is our job to interpret and ensure that the flowers are sending the message that the client wishes them to send.”
